Vehicle Story: Bought this a few weeks ago for the radio,spotlight and bumper hitch to go on my ´49 (see at Willystech Registry posted 9-14-04). About to decide to restore it instead. Lots of history on this wagon. 99 percent complete and un-molested. Started it today and it runs good. Very little rust through. The spotlight is a ´Guide´ and I believe it to be correct for the year. It does work. The radio is a Motorola with a bakelite cover(bezel) that is falling apart as the pic shows. Not sure if this is factory radio but the cut-out in the radio door is factory(perfect with no burrs etc.). Any help on identifying the radio would be appreciated. It powers up and humms and looks new inside. The speaker was mounted in right side kick panel. This wagon was used as a Texaco station service vehicle from 1959 until 1969 when it was parked. Has sat outside for 35 years. If I resore it I plan to put the Texaco graphics back on ?? (sides and rear).
