Vehicle Story: Bought last fall 2002..changing from a platform to a bed. Was used in a hunting camp in northern Maine woods..was stored many years in camp garage during off season. Will add a body lift kit this summer...will keep truck original except rims..wish me luck..will need all kinds of information as I go.. been at it for a month..used bed is all cleaned and apart..new sides have been made..kept original stake inserts. Bottom of bed has been coated with POR 15. Will use red oak on topside. Front brakes, knuckles and bearings all removed...some parts have been kept and some new ones...will re-assemble at end of month..I´ll add pics later..Body lift installed. Back again...bed is ready next week for primer and paint...finally done all that sanding...it´s Oct 1st and still have the cab to sand and fill before winter. All seal, bearings, brake parts were installed during the summer months. Added new Ford van gas tank..22 gallons to rear frame...painted everything with POR 15..nice suff. Added 3" lift kit..body lift to truck and added 34" x 9.50 super swamper TSL´s ..used a 1.5 offset on rims to clear tie rods and drag link. See pics below. Grill has been removed along with radiator..been repaired.
